Passion for Education and Empowerment

In my spare time, I sit on the executive board of a national charity as Regional Forums Coordinator of EYPUK - an apolitical charity dedicated to empowering the voices of young people and facilitating intercultural dialogue. Therefore, you can be certain that I will always remain passionate about education and strive to deliver the best service to tutees.

High Academic Achievement

As a tutor, I offer a high quality of teaching. Throughout my education, I consistently achieve well academically, attaining;

14 A*s GCSE examinations,

2 A*s and 1 A (A Level),

2:1 Oxford Preliminary Examinations (Philosophy and Modern Languages).

Revision is key to my academic success, and I would support the tutee in developing revision techniques which can help them fulfill their potential. I am also fluent in English, Welsh and German. By applying my knowledge and skills to my teaching, I ensure that lessons are of the highest academic standard.

About my sessions

There are three aspects of my teaching I believe to be of paramount importance.

A Tailored Teaching Structure

I listen to my tutees and their parents/carers to understand what they need to focus on the most. Then, I draft lesson plans which not only support the tutee in understanding the topic at hand, but also help them think critically about their work.

A Tailored Teaching Structure

I listen to my tutees and their parents/carers to understand what they need to focus on the most. Then, I draft lesson plans which not only support the tutee in understanding the topic at hand, but also help them think critically about their work.

Sensitivity and Flexibility

Mental health is very important, especially as it relates to academic performance. As former Welfare Officer of Wadham College and a current peer supporter at my university, I not only understand the difficulties young people can face in their education, but I also appropriately react to these issues and accommodate for any difficulties a tutee might be facing.

Support with University Admissions

I am well-informed about how to approach a UCAS application, being able to offer advice on all aspects of the process. Working with Oxford UNIQ Summer School, I gained;

A wealth of knowledge about university admissions - particularly to Oxbridge - and writing good personal statements,Experience tutoring German and preparing prospective students for the Modern Languages Admissions Test (MLAT).

Joseff is a highly recommended tutor. Always professional, well organised and a great role model for my 12 years old son. His lessons have a good structure, he plans them in advance and sends the material ahead of the session. Overall, super happy with the lessons. Thanks Joseff.
