I'm an experienced tutor with nearly 3 years experience in tutoring children of ages 7-18 in both Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. This tutoring experience has been primarily in person both one-one to also in groups up to 5. I am currently working with companies such as First Class Learning. Having been tutored myself, I understand the importance of a tutor and just how much of a difference they can make to a child's education.

I believe that each child has different ways in which they prefer to learn and I understand how important it is that I tailor my teaching methods to each child's needs and abilities. Having had experience of teaching children with learning difficulties, I have been able to adapt to many different teaching environments and will put in the extra time and effort to ensure that each lesson is as valuable as possible to the child.

I believe the most important thing initially is to get an idea of the child's current level as well as an idea of which teaching methods they will find most useful. I do this by doing an initial assessment based on which topic/level they would like to work at. This will usually take the first few lessons, and then once identified, we can focus directly on the areas that the child is struggling on as well as recapping the material they are confident with, so that they stronger overall.
