Hi! My name is Chloe and I am a second year English Language and Literature student at Oxford University. I took a gap year to work at Shakespeare's Globe theatre as an education assistant, spent a month in China teaching English this summer and have been tutoring on and off for about three years.

Hi! My name is Chloe and I am a second year English Language and Literature student at Oxford University. I took a gap year to work at Shakespeare's Globe theatre as an education assistant, spent a month in China teaching English this summer and have been tutoring on and off for about three years.


English Literature has been my passion for as long as I can remember, but I also loved other Humanities subjects, such as History, and thankfully the structure of my degree requires a excellent understanding of these subjects too. My varied experiences of teaching - ranging from one-on-one to full classrooms - have taught me to understand each individual student and tailor my teaching to their strengths and weaknesses.

About my sessions

My sessions will focus on the individual student's needs, strengths and weaknesses. As a result, the first session will likely be a diagnostic session, discussing their chosen tutoring subject and asking them some subject-specific and analytical questions to see what our starting point is.


Subsequent sessions will be tailored towards boosting the existing skills I saw in their first session, and improving those skills that they seem to struggle with. I will then assess...
