Hi, I'm Francesca but everyone calls me Fran! I am 18 years old, studying an English degree at the University of Warwick. Please don't be nervous about starting online sessions with me, I am sociable and friendly and here to help! I am very passionate about English and Literature and achieved all A's at AS level including full marks in English for both AS and A2! I have a positive and nurturing attitude to learning, innovative ideas to diversify learning, and a warm personality to suit the needs of students. My aim is to help aid the learning of students that are struggling to fully grasp content material of poetry, prose and drama whilst also providing confidence in the skills of students as they learn.

My areas of specialism surround Victorian literature, and dystopian texts (most notably, George Orwell, Margaret Atwood and Ray Bradbury). I also have knowledge on Shakespeare, contemporary poetry and possess an extensive scope around the drama of Tennessee Williams. Regarding my studies in Religious Studies at A-Level, I can help to develop essay writing essay extremely well fit for the exam board OCR, although if presented material I will be able to provide skills for all boards. I am open to any student queries on the ELAT exam and personal statement requests as well!

I am very much looking forward to meeting you and helping you to reach your full potential!

My sessions will follow a general format for the introductions in order to get to know the student, their main concerns and their capabilities. Doing this along with gaining an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses will allow me to configure ways to plan each lessons suitable to the student. I may bring resource material to the sessions planned for the student to go through and review. However, for every student the sessions will be catered to their specific needs, whether that be more around structure and format for exam writing or to understand and facilitate knowledge of content for English Literature.

The online classroom resource is truly a unique way to learn. Not only does it allow onscreen illustration for the student and myself as the tutor but links and material can be shared to be saved. At the end of each session time will be dedicated to review information and prepare for the next one.
