About me

I am currently studying mathematics at the University of Exeter and have four years of tutoring experience in the subject. I have always found the job very rewarding, especially watching the confidence of the students grow with each lesson. I love mathematics as a subject because of its logical nature. I also enjoy how the subject builds upon its self as the subject matter gets more complex and I would love to inspire this level of enthusiasm for the subject to younger students.

About my sessions

In sessions, I think that one of the most important parts of the tutoring process is to identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses. This allows you to specifically target those key areas in need of improvement. One quite common way to gain marks before a standardised test is to complete a few past papers until you can go through and identify the topic of each question. In your actual test recognising the topic will give you a good starting point for what method you should use.
