Degree: Medicine (Bachelors) - Imperial College London University
Hi! I'm Beth, a third year medical student at Imperial College London. I've always been really enthusiastic about science and maths, and I aim to give you the confidence and understanding to do well in your exams.
During my time at sixth form I tutored both GCSE and A level science, and ran my sixth form's medical society to help medical school applicants with admissions tests, interviews and personal statements. I'm also a keen pianist and have been tutoring piano since I was in year 11.
Each tutorial will be guided by exactly what YOU want to cover. The focus will be on developing a solid understanding of a topic, so that you can apply yourself to any exam question you come across.
Not everyone learns in the same way - I use lots of different teaching methods until you feel confident with a topic (diagrams, Q&As, analogies, detailed explanations to look at/listen to).
At the end of the session, we'll go through exam questions on the topic we've covered, to practice exam technique and apply your knowledge in the way you're going to be assessed.
After the session, I'll provide you with a written document containing the key points and explanations from the tutorial.
Can you help me with my medical school application?
Yes, of course! I applied myself back in 2013 and now I'm at university I regularly do lots of outreach work for potential medical students. I can help you with the UKCAT, your personal statement and interview preparation, as well as answer any questions you have about medical school.
If you'd like to ask anything at all or book at tutorial, please feel free to send me a WebMail. If you'd like to meet me before booking a tutorial, you can book a free 'Meet the tutor session'.
When booking a tutorial let me know: 1. Your subject and level (e.g. AS Biology), 2. Your exam board (e.g. AQA), 3. The topic(s) you want to cover (e.g. muscle contraction).
I can provide conceptual tuition for all exam boards, but I am able to offer exam specific advice for:
- AS and A2 AQA Biology
- AS and A2 OCR Chemistry A
- AS and A2 AQA Maths
I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to meeting you in the Virtual Classroom!
