About me

Hi, I'm Marion and I am a second year law student at the University of Exeter. Despite the copious amounts of reading, I am thoroughly enjoying my course and looking forward for what's to come, and I hope to pursue a career in law in the near future. Whilst education and work is very important I have found it is also great to get involved in clubs; at university I am a member of 5 different clubs/societies including netball, boxing and a law society.

The whole exam process and university applications can be unnerving, but what made me get through it all aside from hard work and dedication, was belief in myself and my abilities. It was also encouraging to have one teacher especially show me that they knew I could achieve more, and I genuinely hope to be a figure like this for you. About my sessions

Firstly I aim to understand how each student best learns individually and cater the lessons specifically to their needs, as I am aware that not everyone can learn effectively in the same way. Firstly I aim to understand how each student best learns individually and cater the lessons specifically to their needs, as I am aware that not everyone can learn effectively in the same way. I can also introduce useful revision tips that my students can explore to ensure they find the perfect revision styles for them. Moreover, I aim to uncover my student’s weaker areas and then set achievable goals in order to build their confidence in areas they find the most daunting. In order to track progress I will set tasks after each session for my student if both them and their parents are happy for me to do so, also providing feedback as this is very important, and if there are still any areas of concern I will make sure to approach them instead of moving forward at too quick a pace. Furthermore, I will make sure I am always organised and have lessons prepared so I am able to offer my students continuously productive lessons.

Finally, I hope to be able to translate my passion for English Literature and enable my students to grow to enjoy the subject as well, and most importantly I aim to create fun and engaging lessons by always being my bubbly and friendly self. I hope I can make my students feel comfortable to engage with me and express any doubts or concerns, so that hopefully, my students end their sessions feeling a little bit more confident and happier each time.
