About me

I have just recently graduated from the University of York with a 2:1 in Politics and Philosophy (BA). Despite not studying maths at university, it was one of my favourite subjects at school and took it for A Level too, receiving an A. I love helping people and by tutoring, I can combine one of my favourite subjects while helping students achieve their full potential in their Maths GCSE.

Despite not studying maths at university, it was one of my favourite subjects at school and took it for A Level too, receiving an A. I love helping people and by tutoring, I can combine one of my favourite subjects while helping students achieve their full potential in their Maths GCSE.

I can help students because I remember what taking GCSEs was like having done so not long ago. I understand the immense pressure students are under these days and want to help students using methods that they will enjoy and understand easily.

About my sessions

I will prepare for online lessons by asking whether students want to focus on a specific area that they are finding difficult or they keep getting wrong. By using the extensive material of online past papers, I can write and give examples of questions on these topics that they find difficult. This way, they not only start to grasp this topic but also work on exam skills and how to approach questions that seem unfamiliar.

I will measure progress by setting questions for them to do for the next online lesson to ensure that they are capable of doing questions without help from me. Independent work is important for the student's sense of progress

Very helpful, does not rush anybody at the end of the lesson and is very polite. She has helped a lot and I will definitely recommend her to people. I will be booking many lessons in the future as well :)
