Hi, my name is Didi and I'm a second year design engineering student at the University of Bath.
I have previously run a weekly help desk for year 7s, as well as tutoring somebody in Maths, and of course helping my little sister with any homework that she gets stuck on! I love problem solving and the feeling you get when you finally understand a complex subject or finish a long maths question. My teachers were great at explaining things to me and I hope to be able to pass this on.

Having received a B and a C in my A level mocks I know what its like to struggle through the topics and feel like you are never going to understand it. But with hard work and help from my tutors I ended up with an A* in both of those subjects (Physics and Further Maths).
As well as the normal public examinations I also did the UKCC maths challenge (gold) and the Cambridge chemistry challenge (bronze).

I find the best way to learn and understand something is by using examples and going through questions. I will use diagrams and drawings to help explain challenging concepts and try and make the sessions fun but useful. If you are working towards GCSEs or A levels we will spend some time going through past papers so that you fully understand what the questions are asking you and what the exam board expects.
We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the MyTutor team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 7 becomes a tutor on our site.
