About me

The vast variety of careers within Medicine was what attracted me most towards the degree. After achieving 7 A*'s and 4 A's at GCSE, I started to prepare for a degree that I knew would be the best for me. As well as obtaining the required grades, it was also necessary to obtain several different types of work experience; e.g. GP, hospice, care home, charity shop, hospital etc. It was through sheer perseverance and being able to manage my time effectively, that I was able to get through my A-levels. My gap year, after I finished sixth-form, during which I worked as a customer service assistant at Lloyds Bank and as a receptionist at my local GP, allowed me to develop vital communication skills and improve my confidence immensely.

My overall experience with exams so far has highlighted to me the importance of consistency and efficient time management, both of which are skills that I wish to teach to my students as well.

About my sessions

I aim to organise my tutor sessions depending on the needs of my students. I will work with them and see which particular areas they need help in, e.g. whether they are struggling with a certain question or if they need revision on that entire topic. Progress will be measured by setting homework, and then reviewing how the students got on with it. The level of questions set will be catered to the students' abilities and will gradually get higher, to help the students move out of their comfort zone and progress. It is important to note that whilst guiding the students, independent learning will simultaneously be encouraged.

Questions Vrinda has answered

Steve wants to put a hedge along one side of his garden. He needs to buy 27 plants for the hedge. Each plant costs £5.54 Steve has £150 to spend on plants for the hedge. Does Steve have enough money to buy all the plants he needs?

5.54 x100 = 554 554 x 27 = 3878 + 11080 = 1495814958 / 100 = 149.58 149.58 < 150 Therefore Steve does have the money to buy all 27 plants.5.54 x100 = 554 554 x 27 = 3878 + 11080 = 1495814958 / 100 = 149.58 149.58 < 150 Therefore Steve does have the money to buy all 27 plants.
