About me

Hi! I am currently studying Psychology at a Russell Group university. Whilst I am only in Year 2 of my four year course I already know that coming to university to study what I love was the best decision I have ever made. I love Psychology as it not only intrigues me but continues to open my eyes to a wide range of ideas and concepts relating to many aspects of our world. Psychology has allowed to me to expand my knowledge and challenges me both socially and academically to be the best I can be in a way that allows me to enjoy myself too. The goal of my university career is to gain the relevant qualifications and knowledge that I need to become a Forensic Psychologist which is my dream job. A Levels are just stepping stones leading to greater things and I would love to help people to reach these.

I will help students to not only improve their grades but their confidence in the subject that they are seeking support with. I know what it feels like to be faced with the new A Levels and their increasing demands as I was in that position less than a year ago. However, I also know that I was taught by amazing teachers who cared so much about making me feel confident and helped me to achieve what I deserved through tips and techniques which I would love to share with more students. These are ways which allowed me to study hard but without sacrificing my mental health in order to do well.

About my sessions

I will structure my online lessons in a way that suits the individual student best, whether that be solely focussing on content, solely focussing on exam prep and technique, a bit of both or anything else the student needs. During our first lesson together I will establish the student's needs alongside their goals and come to an agreed plan of action which can be changed at any point should the student or parent ask. Before ending each lesson I will ask if there is anything in par...

Before ending each lesson I will ask if there is anything in particular that the student would like to cover in the next session and will plan resources and activities accordingly in time for the next session. All resources will be able to be sent over to the student if required and I will use my notes and resources from my A Levels alongside other sources to plan concise yet very informative sessions.

I will measure progress via informal knowledge quizzes and exam question answers that I will ask the student to prepare between sessions which I can give feedback on. I don't believe in overloading students with exam prep homework as it gets boring and isn't always very helpful when trying to actually get to grips with content. Sometimes shorter answer activities and summary questions allow the students to understand a topic more easily as they have to engage more with it rather than just writing extended answers.

I highly recommend Jazmine as a tutor. Her interaction with my daughter was lovely to see. She was very encouraging and helped my daughter gain confidence in herself and her ability which helped I believe in other subjects as well. Gaining higher marks spurred her on and with Jazmine’s help she increased her A Level result by more than one grade. I cannot thank Jazmine enough and we both wish her well in her studies and her future career. Thank you
