About me

I enjoy studying Economics because it has so many perspectives and interpretations that consequently shape the world we live in. This can involve day-to-day activities- for example, deciding whether to increase utility in the short term (buying the best chocolate bar at the shops) or saving money and buying something that would ultimately increase utility in the long term.

I have a great passion for music, studying viola and double bass at a leading conservatoire in London from the age of 7, as well as electric bass in more recent years. I’m a member of many university societies, such as Big Band, Orchestras, and Choir. My love for culture brought me to Warwick to study Economics and German and when I’m not studying and

teaching, I enjoy travelling around the world visiting the likes of Romania, Ukraine, Vietnam and USA.

I apply theoretical practices to real-life examples so that you can have a more rounded understanding of the subject. Additionally, as we come to the end of a topic, I incorporate practice questions, similar to those you will

find in an exam at the end of your course and work on the best ways to formulate an answer.

I teach using traditional and practical methods; I have found linguistic methods to work particularly well with Economics. Each student learns differently, so I do vary accordingly.

Joseph helped to prepare me for my IB HL Music exam, in which I was able to achieve a strong level 7/7. Joseph's exceptional knowledge of music was extremely useful in all aspects of the IB HL Music course, and the clarity with which he explained complex ideas was extremely helpful. His advice and guidance helped to sharpen my exam technique and analytical skills, ultimately ensuring that I felt confident and well-prepared. Lessons with Joseph were always relevant, useful, and he always had material prepared. I found Joseph's approach to teaching to be enjoyable and encouraging, as he provided me with insightful and nuanced support. I believe the skills which I have acquired during our sessions were not only useful in preparing me for my IB HL Music exam, but that they will also prove to be invaluable at university. I would absolutely recommend Joseph to anyone seeking guidance with Music. His professional approach and helpful assistance enabled me to feel confident as I approached my exams.
