About me

About Myself

I am a first year Mathematics student at Durham University doing a four year course for a Masters degree. This has always been my passion and I have always had a love of maths and science.

I am a patient, friendly and outgoing individual and I have had experience in tutoring having tutored younger children for their SAT tests in Year 6 as well as Year 11's during their GCSE at my secondary school during sixth form (mainly in mathematics). I can present ideas via a range of perspectives as all students learn in different ways and have practised this while at sixth form in my secondary school's "maths club". I have excellent communication skills having worked in a bar, played and coached younger children in basketball and been a gym instructor.

My Tutoring Sessions

The topic of each session will mainly be structured around you and your strengths and weaknesses in the subjects offered. Many schools now focus solely on teaching how to answer exam questions and miss out some of the key points of actually having an understanding of what they are being tested on. Therefore, understanding is a key factor to how I tutor and will be taught prior to exam technique.

I will help you bolster your confidence in answering and explaining processes in order to attain solutions until you feel fully confident and aware of how each process works. This way you will be able to explain it to myself and anyone else.

Maths and Physics are not boring subjects and in the alloted 55 minutes it can be made both enjoyable and productive and I strive to attain this.

Mathematics and Physics Applicants

Having recently been through the University application process, I am also here to help with the daunting idea of applying to universities using UCAS and giving my advise from my experience in the hope that it is both relevant and helpful.

Now

Feel free to contact me about any questions regarding myself that you may have or book a "Meet the Tutor session" through this website. In doing so it would be helpful to know your exam board and the areas in which you feel you are struggling.

All the best!
