As an older sibling who’s always been able to do well academically, I have a great deal of experience in passing on my expertise to the younger members of my family. My brother – who achieved a B in GCSE Maths after a predicted E grade – asserts that I made maths easier to understand, and taught him a number of simple methods which helped him immensely in the exam. Additionally, while not strictly related to academia, I taught a Lifesaving Theory class at a local swimming pool for a number of years, and so have some experience in teaching children of school age.
Maths and Geography, in addition to being personal passions of mine, are subjects in which I excelled at GCSE and A level, and which I now put into practical use in my MSci Geology course. My exam boards for A level Maths and Geography were Edexcel and AQA respectively.
