During and after my Master’s degree I worked as an engineer, A-level (Physics and Mathematics), international baclearetes (Physics and Mathematics, GCSE science and BTech (engineering) tutor. In addition, I am currently a PHD Researcher with Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick; aimed at blending my industrial and teaching experience.

To this end, I believe I have much to offer in raising and developing students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in order for them to succeed in their future career.

First, effective teaching is student-focussed, in which students bring their previous experience may be in the school or work environments or day-to-day activities and then help them to change their schema(old way of reasoning) to align with current knowledge and development.

I will give student the opportunity to drive the learning process through thought stimulating activities that will effectively engage him/her throughout the session, in order to encourage and experience deep learning.

I will move my student from theory to practice in order to enjoy the lesson. To achieve this, I need to set clear and achievable expectation, create a supportive environment, be open and approachable regardless of gender, nationality etc.

There is also the need to carry out assessment of what they have learnt by setting assessment tasks, which could be questions, poster presentation or research. It is pertinent to mention here that both summative and formative assessment are required to help learners to reach their target. As a teacher. I need to give feedback to student on what they need to improve and what they have done well so they can reach their target.

An excellent teacher. Takes his time to go through every stage step by step, even if it means going back to foundation topics. Really learn a lot in 1hr than i did in 3months.An excellent teacher.
