Degree: Philosophy, Politics and Economics (Bachelors) - Warwick University
I am a philosophy, politics and economics student at Warwick university. Through my A levels I developed a passion for economics and became involved in politics. I pursued that passion through attending a wide array of talks and reading around the subject and I hope my tutorials will inspire a similar passion in you.
I am patient and unintimidating. I was involved with mentoring programs throughout school, so I have experience of holding a role of resposibility. I have experience teaching maths and spanish to pupils from age 11-16.
During the sessions, you will guide what we cover. Fundamental understanding is key, so before we do exam questions, we will focus on this. This may be in the form of developing greater understanding of definitions in economics or developing grammar skills in spanish, for example.
I am flexible in my teaching methods and will always try to adapt to the student and teach in an appropriate way to meet your needs. My aim is to strengthen your understanding so that you can explain and understand complex ideas in simple terms and build on that foundation.
But above all, I aim to make the sessions fun. I want the sessions to be interactive, engaging and flexible. Economics can be fascinating and I hope I will be able to convey that to you over the course of our sessions.
I'm applying to university, Can you help me?!
Yes! I have been through the UCAS system and have experience writing and drafting personal statements. I have also been through extensive interview practice and practice for the Thinking Skills Assessment so I would be happy to help you with any of these things.
If you have any questions, send me a 'WebMail' or book a 'Meet the Tutor Session'! (both accessible through this website). Remember to tell me your exam board and what you're struggling with.
I look forward to meeting you!
