Hi everyone! My name is Milan and I am a second year History Degree student at University College London.

I enjoy history for a variety of reasons, including the fact that there is a wealth of differing resources, documents and sources available to historians which originate from people of different demographics in society, thus giving us contrasting views on the same event. Although I hold a particular interest in modern US history, and more specifically, the Roaring Twenties, I am able to offer help and support on all periods and events. As such, through tutoring, I feel I will be able to share my understanding, knowledge and love of history on whatever era or event needs to be covered.

My enthusiasm for English and art complement my passion for history, and I am also willing to tutor these subjects as well, having taken them both for A-Level. With English, I will provide help in articulating coherent answers, drawing connections across different texts and engaging with critical interpretations. Whilst art is very much a practical discipline, I can provide advice on creating unique and creative diaries, journals and final statements.

About my sessions

Having been tutored myself, I understand that there are a range of techniques and methods tutors use with their students, and that no universal approach works with everyone. As such, in my lessons, I will make sure that I plan tailored activities which suit your direct needs and requirements to help ensure that your confidence and knowledge increases to put you in a great position for your final exams!

As such, in my lessons, I will make sure that I plan tailored activities which suit your direct needs and requirements to help ensure that your confidence and knowledge increases to put you in a great position for your final exams!

In our lessons, not only will we go through content and context, we will also focus on practicing source analysis and essay questions, which I will have planned and composed in preparation for the sessions. We will also spend time analysing how to write answers as Exam Boards place a great weighting on essay structure, alongside many other assessment objectives.

Nonetheless, I will first and foremost listen to what my students want to focus on and go through, as no one knows their own requirements and needs better than them. I will take their queries on board and provide first-hand help to quell their worries.

Milan is very knowledgeable and helpful. I approached Milan to teach GCSE arts for my daughter. He is very good in engaging the student by using lot of examples and pictures. His teaching not only improved her writing skills but also her thought process. Got through so much in one hour. My Daughter is very happy to have such a fantastic tutor.

Completely exam focused and well prepared for the lesson. Had found out about our (less common) exam specification in advance and had great ideas about how to improve based on examiners' reports.
