About me

Hi! I’m Ruth a second year PPEist at Oxford. About my sessions

I have been both the tutee and the tutor, so I am well aware of various styles of teaching and which ones work best for particular subjects. For example, I find that with Geography, it is important to learn the core content, form detailed case studies and make appropriate synoptic links between content from different parts of the course, before answering an essay question. I aim to take a dynamic approach when teaching, tailored to each student as no two students are the same. I am very famil...

I aim to take a dynamic approach when teaching, tailored to each student as no two students are the same. I am very familiar with tutoring, as I have been tutoring for nearly two years now at my local tuition centre, helping to prepare students for their 11+, 12+ and GCSE examinations.
