About me

Hi there!

My name is Aishah and I am a final year medical student based in London. I have been tutoring for over 7 years, ranging from primary school teaching all the way to A Level. I am aware of the requirements with different exam boards and their assessment criteria.

My approach to tutoring is a fun and enjoyable one whilst ensuring that all key aspects are covered. I set work that needs to be completed on a weekly basis to keep the learning going outside of sessions.

Feel free to drop me a message to talk more!

Questions Aishah has answered

What is the difference between Ionic and Covalant bonding?

Bonding is when two atoms join together; this happens through movements of electrons to help create a full outer shell of electrons. Ionic bonding is when this takes place between a metal and non metal atom. This bonding occurs by one atom giving away electrons and the other accepting the electrons. This then turns them from atoms to ions. One is a positive ion and the other negative; these two ions attract and therefore are held together through strong electrostatic forces. Covalant bonding is between two non metal atoms. They bond by sharing the electrons in order for their outer shell of electrons to be complete. (think of it like they are holding hands to complete the circle)
