About me

Hey! I'm currently studying Psychology at the University of Bath. I absolutely love this subject and enjoyed it very much at GCSE/A-Level so I decided to study it at degree level too. I love the fact that psychology is so applicable to everyday life and extremely broad in the topics that it covers.

I love the fact that psychology is so applicable to everyday life and extremely broad in the topics that it covers.

At school, I used to get quite nervous about exams but eventually realized that a bit of nervous energy is always a good thing! Applying to universities in the UK alongside A-Levels is always very stressful but I was lucky to have lots of support during the process. I'd be glad to help those of you who would like some advice and guidance too, including the Oxbridge application/interview process.

I really enjoy swimming, tennis and running in my free time. But I also like reading and watching TV shows/movies with friends and family. I value mental health advocacy and have work experience from two psychology clinics in Dubai. I am part of the psychology society and an academic representative at university.

I'd help students improve by covering content that they find particularly difficult e.g. Research Methods. I would do this using PowerPoint, notes that the student may have made, assessing knowledge using past paper questions. I believe that asking questions is invaluable and so I'd encourage students to do so. Making notes, summarizing them and past papers were effective revision techniques for me, but other people find different techniques more useful.

About my sessions

Lessons would generally start with a starter activity which could be a question or something to think about. This would be followed by going through any questions/concerns the student may have. I would then try to make time to address these issues.

The content covered in the tutorial could be based on the topics covered in school but may also be adapted according to what the student wishes to cover including homework. I would measure progress using past paper questions and just through...

The content covered in the tutorial could be based on the topics covered in school but may also be adapted according to what the student wishes to cover including homework. I would measure progress using past paper questions and just through casual discussion during the tutorial about the content.

I aim to convey my passion for the subject so that the student also sees why/how the topic is so fascinating or applicable/relevant. Reading beyond the specification into areas of interest is encouraged but, by all means, not necessary.
