I’ve always loved problem solving, ever since I was young and that led to a love for maths and physics because each question is just a puzzle to crack. I have lots of experience working with people, I was the Head Girl of my secondary school, I am a trained sailing instructor and I spent 4 years mentoring girls of all ages in maths because I just love sharing my passions with other people.

I would describe myself as friendly and approachable and I believe that there really is no such thing as a stupid question because I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t asked questions.

About my sessions

To be successful in maths and physics, the key is understanding what is going on in the problem, so helping with understanding will be the primary focus of my lessons. I also think that getting used to the format of the questions and practising lots helps so I aim to work through past papers with the student and allow them to try questions by themselves, highlighting areas of uncertainty. I believe that positive reinforcement and seeing results encourages learning because I want them to enjoy...
