About me

Hi there! My name is Hayley and I'm a passionate second-year Psychology student at Kings College London. I completely understand what you're going through. GCSE and IB exams can be extremely stressful, especially when you feel underprepared or that the grades you're receiving aren't an accurate reflection of your academic ability. This is where I step in! I'm not here to add to your stress or chase after you if you haven't finished work on time. Our lives can get reall...

GCSE and IB exams can be extremely stressful, especially when you feel underprepared or that the grades you're receiving aren't an accurate reflection of your academic ability. This is where I step in! I'm not here to add to your stress or chase after you if you haven't finished work on time. Our lives can get really busy so if my session is that one hour that you dedicate towards Psychology a week, then you're already taking the right steps towards achieving better grades.

I love to teach Psychology and will utilise different ways of explaining theories, concepts, and studies in a way that you find interesting and engaging. These sessions are not only meant to be informative, but fun as well; therefore, we need to work together to ensure that you're getting the best out of them. This means working together each week and tailoring our sessions in a way that is most beneficial to you. If something isn't working, don't just nod your head and mentally go 'what on earth was she talking about?' - let me know! We can try different things and ways of learning until you feel comfortable.

About my sessions

I take what I do very seriously. It's important to me that you understand the content in your syllabus completely - or as much as you want to. I'll help you structure answers, master your exam technique, give you background information as to why something is the way it is so you can understand theories in more depth. We can make mindmaps, do exam questions, have debates - anything that will help you feel more comfortable in your knowledge about Psychology. I don't want my sessions...

I don't want my sessions to be boring, they should be engaging so you feel excited about learning the subject you chose to study. I love my subject and I hope that you will too after our sessions! Let me help you achieve your goals. I always say to aim higher than what you want because if you fall just short of that goal, you've still done really well.

I know with IB studies, applying for university can be a very stressful time, especially if you're unsure of the path you want to take. Therefore, if you have any questions about applying for university both in the UK and US, please feel free to ask since I applied to 15 universities in total and am familiar with the process. Since, I lived in Australia for 3 years, I also have a good understanding about the calibre of Australian universities and the process of applying. So, although the focus of these sessions is for me to tutor you in Psychology, let me know if you need any help or advise on this front!

Hayley's feedback on my Psychology IA was very detailed and super helpful. She also pointed out many things I wouldn't have noticed otherwise, and was always available for further support! I would highly recommend Hayley.
