About me

What I'm doing now

I am in my second year of university and I am working at a 1st class mark. I love all things tech and have build a few PCs and love messing around with cloud computing in my spare time. I attend weekly Cyber Security society meetups and have competed in some hackathons and even won some prizes. I have real world and academic knowledge of Computer Science and I love sharing my knowledge and getting people into my field.

A Levels and Applying to University

I think that I always wanted to do something with computers but it was really A Levels that moved me to straight Computer Science and not Maths with Computing or Software Engineering. Applying to university was extremely interesting, there is a huge range of courses out there and it felt a little daunting at first. Once I started visiting universities and seeing what the campus felt like and what they offered for my subject the choice became a lot clearer and meant I could focus my application around that.

Going Forward

One thing I found more useful that anything else during GCSE and A Level was the ability to sit practice exams and have someone give me feedback. I will create a set of questions tailored to the area you wish to improve so that we can work through them together and help you to secure that knowledge.

Another method I find very helpful when learning is to explain concepts to people, therefore I will happily listen to you explain to me an area and then I will ask questions and quiz you on the surrounding subject matter.
