Degree: Computer Science (Bachelors) - Bristol University
Hi, I’m Connor and I study Computer Science at Bristol University. I am originally from the north of the country and have been living and studying in Bristol for almost three years now. I love the place, but more importantly I really enjoy teaching people new skills and I can’t wait to help you with my tutorials!
I think of myself of a very friendly person who can chat to anybody no matter what age! I have previous experience of teaching young people from an outreach event which my university school runs. Digimakers is an event where I teach children from the age of 7 – 15 how to program and have been doing so for about 2 years now. We also have loads of other cool stuff like robots, quad-copters and 3D Printers to show off!
The sessions we have will be mainly led by you, the student! This is the best way for me to understand what you are good at and what you need help with. We will work through problems together; the aim is for you to be able to take me through the problems without any help!
I fully understand that people learn in different ways, so I will use every way possible to get the information across to you – pictures, writing, demonstrations... whatever it takes for you to understand and become confident with the topic.
My main aim for our sessions is to make them fun. If you enjoy what you are learning - it will suddenly become so much easier! I will not be “strict” in our sessions, I will just be nice and friendly and I’m here to help.
For any questions you may have, send me a 'WebMail' or book a 'Meet the Tutor Session' (both accessible through this website.
I look forward to meeting you.
