About me

Over the past 10 years, I have helped a number of students improve their grades and exceed their expectations! I'm eager to know how I can help you, so please reach out and let's work on it together! First, here’s a bit about me…

I am originally from Spain, though I have lived

in the UK from a young age. Hence, I am a native Spanish and English speaker –

I am also fluent in French, having lived briefly in the south of Belgium when I

was younger! So...

I am originally from Spain, though I have lived

in the UK from a young age. Hence, I am a native Spanish and English speaker –

I am also fluent in French, having lived briefly in the south of Belgium when I

was younger! So, for all of those looking to practice your language skills, I’m

here to help you improve your grade, all the way up to A Level!

However, I have a strong background in other subjects too! I particularly enjoyed Biology throughout high school, and I have a Law degree from the University of Bristol, which I am now supplementing with a Master of Law. I also have a Master in International Business Economics and Management. So, if you’re looking to complement your lessons with a discussion on current affairs, legal affairs, the economy, innovation…I’m sure we can find a common ground! Whatever your level, I’m here to help!

I’m generally very active, I love to spend time my time outdoors and organizing hikes and weekends away with my friends – I love travelling! I was also a member of the Dance Society at University, I enjoy spinning classes, yoga, body combat and getting involved in volunteering projects.

About my sessions

Everyone learns differently, so I think it’s important to identify what works best for each student during the first session. That’s not to say this will define a rigid structure going forward; it’s about working together with the student to adapt my teaching to their learning, and this is an on-going process. I’m a strong believer in open communication as I believe it’s paramount in creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and to unapologetically make mistakes. In terms of structure, I think it’s important to briefly revise the points covered during the previous session and to address any queries that have arisen since then, before moving on to the core of the session. Likewise, it’s important for the student to be able to summarize what we have covered during the session so that they leave reassured of their understanding. I generally have a very optimistic and positive demeanour, which coupled with a lifetime of studying, puts me in a strong position to transmit my infectious affinity for learning and encourage students who might not feel as enthusiastic – the better you become at something, the more you’ll enjoy it – it’s a case of finding how to communicate with each individual in the way that will bring them to that light bulb moment, after which everything else falls into place.
