About me

History has been my favourite subject from a young age. I frequently visited Duxford airfields in primary school and spent part of my gap year immersing myself in Asian history. Particularly the Vietnamese perspective on the Vietnam War and the societal effects of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. During my GCSEs and A levels, I studied international relations from 1794-1945 as well as the Cold War, Hitler's rise to Germany and the history of British Prime Ministers. I enjoyed it so muc...

I enjoyed it so much that I have kept all my history work and essays from year 10 to year 13.

My fascination with politics began during my GCSE's and expanded to a passion of mine when I began to learn about the EU referendum as it was happening. The fast pace nature of politics has provided a nice alternative to history studies. Learning the structures of our political system and studying key theories and concepts that are involved in politics has been incredibly enjoyable. I watched myself transform from someone too scared to speak up on my views to getting actively involved on social media in current events and sharing similar frustrations with academics and journalists.

Outside of uni I play netball, do ballet and package menstrual products for those in need.

About my sessions

My degree gives me a lot of time off at uni meaning that I will be able to prepare for each online lesson thoroughly. I will help with answering questions that may appear in exams by identifying the correct structure, how to time essay writing and teaching others how to answer the exact question that is being answered.

By doing essay based A level topics, I have developed valuable writing skills which contributed to receiving offers from all universities I applied for. I used multiple revision techniques at school. Ranging from making cartoons about Prime Minister's to littering my bedroom floor with a multitude of timelines.

I had a tutor during GCSEs so I am aware that there are some techniques that are not helpful to certain students, therefore I am more than happy to tailor each session to what the student finds most useful and will incorporate the most helpful revision style for each student in my sessions.
