About me

Hi! Call me Matt, I graduated in 2018, worked for 11 months as an Assistant Psychologist giving me some experience of the field in an applied setting, and then decided to come back to the world of students to do a Masters in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Manchester. Hi! Call me Matt, I graduated in 2018, worked for 11 months as an Assistant Psychologist giving me some experience of the field in an applied setting, and then decided to come back to the world of students to do a Masters in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Manchester. I love psychology, and obviously care about it enough to put myself through more exams and essays again! I really believe that anyone studying it will benefit and am excited about the opportunity to talk to people about the subject and help with the difficult part (I swear stats can get easier).

I've done plenty of exams and essays and am still doing them now so I have lots of experience & advice about preparing and doing well. I'll draw from all the resources from my university courses to help you to get a broader understanding of what you're learning (and help impress the markers).

I'll do one off meetings, essay reviews, help with statistics or weekly sessions. If there's else, please send me a message and I'll see what I can do.

Sessions will be will be relaxed, promoting discussion about ideas and including check-ins & outs to consolidate what you've learned! Always ask questions! It's the best way to learn. Even if we don't meet, my top 3 tips would be make mind-maps, make flashcards, and ALWAYS plan your essays, whether its an exam or an essay! I promise they'll help!

Wish you the best,

Matt

> Then we'll cover the content of the session at your pace, and in the way that works best for you!

x Lastly... Check-out:

> Recap & summarize the content that has been covered (and get you to explain core concepts of the lesson).

> Discuss any work you have before the next session & any resources that I can send over.

> With the time that's left I can try and answer any broader questions you have

You're always welcome to message me outside of the sessions and I'll reply as fast as I can.

During our first chat we'll discuss; what topics you'd like to cover, your aims from these sessions (if you want a specific grade), details of your exams/coursework (deadlines & what exam board your with), what techniques you use to learn, and finally, what questions you have for me! All sessions will be planned around how you learn best, and in the sessions, I’ll encourage you to ask ANY and ALL the questions you have.

Can't wait to meet you!
