About me

My name is Grace, I come from London and my hobbies include gymnastics and socialising. I was an academic and sports scholar from 2010 - 2017. I am currently a second year medical student studying at the University of Leeds, I chose my degree because I enjoy helping others and I wanted to study something where I could give back to the community as well as develop my scientific skills. My field of study will help me with tutoring as I have lots of experience with communicating with all sorts of people. I am very attentive and adaptable, therefore I will try to work with whatever learning style fits you best. I look forward to meeting you soon!

About my sessions

My lessons will be structured into 3 parts: overview, main bulk and reflection. Firstly, I will clarify what subject(s) we will be covering. Then I will go over some key topics on the subject and go through some practise questions that are likely to come up in the exam. Finally, I will finish with a brief discussion about what you feel you have achieved and if there are any areas that need revisiting. Each week I will ask a question relating to the last session, to follow your progress and get a feel on how well my teaching is going, so I know what areas to improve or spend more time one. I think it is important that you feel comfortable with my learning style and can openly ask questions when you get stuck.

Questions Grace has answered

Make 'a' the subject of the formula: p = (3a + 5) / (4 - a)

Firstly, multiply the whole equation by (4 - a) to cancel out the denominator, so the equation becomes: p(4 - a) = (3a + 5). Then expand the brackets: 4p - ap = 3a +5. Then rearrange the equation to: 4p - 5 = 3a + ap, so you can factorise 'a' into brackets: 4p - 5 = a(3 + p). Now make 'a' the subject by dividing (4p - 5) by (3 + p), so your equation becomes: a = (4p - 5) / (3 + p).Firstly, multiply the whole equation by (4 - a) to cancel out the denominator, so the equation becomes: p(4 - a) = (3a + 5).
