About my sessions

I think the most important thing to encourage learning is to show that anyone can learn anything, no matter how difficult or complex an idea may seem at first. I believe all complex ideas can be broken down into easily understandable pieces. If after that, an idea is still not understandable to the student, that is the fault of the tutor, not the student.

I think it is really important to demonstrate additional value at each lesson - the student should always leave feeling clear about what they learned. They should also leave feeling encouraged and eager to learn more. A student should never leave feeling confused or overwhelmed about a new concept, or else that is the fault of the tutor.

I believe the best way to structure lessons is to custom tailor it for every individual. This means first understanding the needs of the student, and then setting a clear target for what they want to achieve. Next, it is important to set clear milestones they will pass while heading towards this target.

For example, if a student is struggling with writing their thoughts down on paper, one possible approach could be to define the objective (e.g. be able to fluently write one's thoughts down quickly and accurately) and set clear milestones to reaching it (e.g. (1) identify what is holding back their ability to do this, (2) based on that, develop a strategy for improvement, and (3) set key metrics to define when success is achieved)
