About me

I'm a 4th year student at Bristol University studying Geography with French, and I have also been able to complete several maths and stats modules throughout my degree. What I love most about it is that I can take knowledge from so many different fields and link them together. At school I tended to get bored if I was repeating the same thing, so being able to learn about such different aspects of our planet really excites me. What I love most about it is that I can take knowledge from so many different fields and link them together. At school I tended to get bored if I was repeating the same thing, so being able to learn about such different aspects of our planet really excites me. I also love that I get to use my mathematical and statistical skills in my degree; thinking logically through a mathematical problem and applying it in a geographical context is something I really enjoy doing. The field I find most exciting is glaciology - in particular exploring microorganisms that can be found in such environments.

Removing all stress from exams is practically impossible, but what makes exams easier for me is approaching my revision logically. I make lists of what needs to be done and compile past papers, before making myself a detailed yet flexible revision timetable (colour coded and all). But, I do appreciate that everyone has a different way of studying and preparing for exams - I will aim to adapt to whatever works best for you!

About my sessions

Whilst everyone studies and learns in different ways, I think that every big accomplishment is made much more manageable with a to do list. In our first session, I will give you a short set of questions spanning a range of units to identify where your strengths are, and what you can improve on. The structure of the following lessons will then be based on the running themes you want and need to improve on most, in addition to keeping on top of newly covered topics. Together we will continue to...

Together we will continue to build on your knowledge of the subjects you feel least confident in, and practice applying this knowledge to past paper style questions. We will also talk through what you learnt about each week in school to keep on top of new content - we can go through your school and homework exercises that you would like clarifying. By the end of the lessons I will have helped you to identify which areas you are most and least confident in, which will make prioritising subjects much easier when it comes to your own private revision. It's very easy to become overwhelmed in the run up to exams, so I'll help you break your subjects down into much more manageable chunks.
