About me

As a third year Chemistry student at Durham university I possess a strong understanding of Chemistry at both a fundemental and advanced level. I am very familiar with the content at both GCSE and A-Level having only recently obtained these qualifications myself. In addition I remember the dificulties and confusions experienced by my peers and me whilst first learning chemistry and maths, as such I am in a strong position to help others struggling with the same problems. I am enthusiastic about the subject and find great satisfaction in helping others understand and overcome problems, this, combined with a relaxed and friendly demeanour, makes me particularly suited to tutoring. I have a logical approach to problem solving which through improving understanding and teaching technique I hope to develop in tutees allowing them to tackle problems themselves and not rely on blanket memorisation of material.

A-Levels (Board): Chemistry (Edexcel), Maths (AQA), Physics (Welsh Board)

Availability: Monday - Friday (6:00 - 9:00),  Saturday - Sunday (5:00 - 8:00)

Hi Jack, After the first tutorial Alex was really positive and this has lifted his self confidence and belief that he can do well in Chemistry. So thank you very much Jack, I'm delighted with the start that's been made - keep up the good work! Regards, John.
