About me

I am a Philosophy student at Exeter University, and my passion for education extends to not only Philosophy & Ethics, but also to Economics and Physics. Those 3 subjects were my chosen A Level topics and I find them all to be interesting in different ways, and surprisingly compatible.

I have been tutoring for 4 years, and I am experienced at understanding a student's needs and adjusting how I tutor to those. I aim to inspire each student to become interested in what they are learning, and to enjoy the process of getting to know the subject more.

I am very friendly and take a relaxed but studious approach to learning, having fun and enjoying the sessions means that the students get more out of it than if they hate every minute.

About my sessions

I will first try to discover what exactly the students and the parents want to get out of our sessions. From there, each session will be tailored to meet the requirements of the student, and will aim to engage them in what we are studying. I understand that with exams, sometimes it feels like a chore to learn all of the things on the syllabus, but I hope to try to make that process a lot more fun and less of a task.

The sessions, depending on the subject being tutored, will be focused around a particular topic or question that will be set out at the beginning. Having structure and goals for each session will allow both of us to maximise the use of time that we have together.
