Degree: Psychology (Doctorate) - St. Andrews University
I studied Psychology (BSc) and Cognitive Neuroscience (MSc) at Durham University, and am currently working towards a PhD in Psychology. As such, I've written a great deal of essays over a wide range of topics, and am glad to use my experience to help others be successful in their studies.
Over the course of my studies I have adopted many informal mentoring and supervisory roles, in which I would explain course or project material to other students, and I have also engaged in a number of science-outreach projects where I would explain complex ideas from my field of study to non-experts and the general public.
From this experience I have learned that I am a patient tutor, and would like nothing more than to help others grasp difficult topics and conquer their study-related stress.
In our sessions, we will begin by determining both your existing knowledge and strengths within the subject, before setting clear goals for improvement and developing a plan to achieve them. I will do my best to ensure these sessions are engaging and interesting, and work hard to develop the your confidence and independence.
In addition to building up your subject knowledge, I can also guide you in developing essay-writing skills, and support you with any university-related enquries, such as your applications and personal statements.
If you're interested in having me as a tutor, please send me a message detailing your course and the topics you would like to cover, or book a 'Meet the Tutor' session via the mytutorweb website.
Hope to hear from you soon.
