About me

Hi! My name is Zak and I'm a second year medical student at the University of Manchester Medical School. I take great pride in my passion for explaining complex concepts in a simple and segmented way, I have practice in this from being an Anatomy Tutor for a year during Sixth Form. On a daily basis as I speak to patients, it is my job to explain exceedingly complicated diseases, medications and treatment plans in layman's terms without detracting from the overall concept.

Science is where most of my expertise lies, specifically Biology and Chemistry, to which I can tutor full A-Level, and in Physics and Maths where I can teach to AS-Level and below. Having achieved top marks and grades in all of the aforesaid subjects, I will be sure to only teach to the highest standard, in the simplest way and with the utmost detail!

Having been through the entire medical school application process successfully, I am well-versed in all entrance exams, personal statement writing and (my favourite) interview training and preparation. Hence, I am more than happy to teach/coach any and all of the aforementioned!

I'm eager to get to know my future students, hope to hear from you soon!!!

About my sessions

My forte is that I can break down, segment and present exceedingly complex concepts in a simple yet enticing way. This is done by having an in-depth and complete knowledge of the topic whilst having exemplar communication skills; to which both have taken me a long time to develop, but now that I am a second year medical student, I have had plenty of time to polish up!

This is done by having an in-depth and complete knowledge of the topic whilst having exemplar communication skills; to which both have taken me a long time to develop, but now that I am a second year medical student, I have had plenty of time to polish up!

My lessons are student-centred, it is vital that I know what my students want and whether they need help in understanding or applying knowledge. Via the use of carefully selected resources, I explain concepts in a step-by-step process; I also select past exam questions for my students to tackle. This replicates exam conditions, but I of course will deliver and explain a complete worked solution for them to take away and apply again in their own time.

For medical school preparation, I take a rigorous approach to my teaching and analysis of the student. I leave no stone unturned, such that a medical school admissions officer will have nothing to flaw and only remarkable comments to make! I am excellent at medical interview preparation and communication coaching as well. Overall, I am happy to tailor these sessions to whatever my students want.

What I do with all with my students is make a monthly timetable to which I delegate tasks that they should do and track to monitor how their progress is going and whether vital checkpoints are being met.
