My tutor technique: Hi, I’m Beth! I tutor for English Literature and English Language at both GCSE and A level standard, and History at GCSE level. Having sat these exams myself, I am all too aware of the stress and anxiety that inevitably surround them, not to mention the constant pressure from teachers and parents to eat Weetabix! Yet, these exams can be passed, and more than that, with the right drive and the right support, they can be enjoyed.

As a tutor, I am extremely approachable, down-to-earth and massively confident in all of my subjects, having always harboured a great passion for each one. It is my belief that a good tutor rewards a pupils’ dedication to learning by showing equal commitment to their interests, their weaknesses, and of course, their strengths. I will ensure that my deep passion for education stimulates both my pupil's; learning and imagination whilst also providing insight into exam technique and how to hit those all-important top grades.

My tutorials would focus on any interest that you may highlight, or any weaknesses you feel you possess in relation to answering exam style questions; I will be able to provide my own interpretations of texts whilst guiding your own, help enhance and encourage your personal writing style, and above all be open to any particular queries you may have. I am more than happy to receive any essays prior to the tutorial in order that I can provide constructive feedback- this will be good in providing a focus point for our discussions.

I know exactly how it feels to strive for success, and will therefore give 100% in helping you achieve the grades you desire whilst creating a friendly and approachable environment that allows for the fun which exists in learning.

With that in mind, do feel free to book a 15 minute session to meet me as I’d love to help you reach your full potential.

My experience: Although my qualifications demonstrate the knowledge I possess in relation to these subjects, I have also acquired many experiences which add greatly to the skills I can offer you, as shown below:

·         Poet Laureate of Wirral, 2012. (published poems)

·         Editorial Assistant, Let’s go magazine (work placement 2010- published articles)

·         Teacher’s Assistant, St. George’s Primary School (2009)
