Degree: Geography (Bachelors) - Exeter University
I am a Geography student at the University of Exeter offering tutoring up to GCSE level for Geography, English Literature and Language, as well as History - subjects where I attained A grades at A level. Personal statements are one of my strengths, as I applied to 5 Russell group universities and attained all of my offers.
I have always been passionate about education and have a wealth of experience teaching and communicating information in an interactive, interesting and clear way. For the past three summers I have led summer camps with a national youth movement (RSY Netzer) for ages 10-16 where a group of leaders can be responsible for up to 100+ children for two weeks. This entails leadership planning and running all the activities, many of which have educational content. I taught religious study classes for 5-8 year olds from 2009-2014 progressing from assistant to teacher. This provided me with clear communication skills and I am well versed in a variety of teaching methods. I can tailor sessions to a pupils’ preferred educational style, I am very patient and aware that everyone works and understands in different ways. I am also comfortable with working with a large age range.
Looking forward to meeting you!

It is easy for ideas to be lost in translation when writing an essay. The best way to ensure your essay is clear and concise is to structure it in clearly formulated paragraphs - with each paragraph focussing on one topic. Then before writing each paragraph, bullet point roughly the points you are trying to make. Underneath these bullet points then list quotations to support these points. Then also ensure you evaluate the point by furthering explaining it or making links between your point and the text. This system allows you to plan paragraphs and communicate your ideas clearly before you actually write the essay.see more
