About me

I am a second year Econ and Econ History student at LSE and I specialise in teaching maths, economics and 11+. I have 4 years offline experience (which is almost 1/5 of my entire life) with people of ages 6-16, and now have started tutoring online as a natural extension. I’m based in London/Boston- no I do not have an accent- but have very fast wifi! Overall I am well qualified and enthusiastic to help you achieve your best.

But more importantly, on the non-business side, I just really like maths!

My friends and I love it to a point where we make up maths pick up lines in our free time (I promise I am cool) and I love helping students love it too, especially as I myself used to hate it. I have a great track record of doing so, which certainly is one of the main reasons I tutor.

In regards to economics, at LSE I am on the sub-committee of the Economics Society so I regularly organise and attend Econ events and actively participate in debate. I was also on the Henrietta Barnett Economics Society sub-committee giving presentations and helping younger years with their economics questions and homework, and I feel that certainly with economics lessons, classes should be quite discussion heavy by talking through key ideas and mechanisms.

My side hustles include being a commissioned painter, being a boxer, playing guitar and learning languages (French and German), so I can bring a new perspective!

About my sessions

In regard to how I structure my lessons, for older students at GCSE and A-Level, lessons are more self-guided to allow independence, so many are substantially based on what topics and questions you feel like you need help with, and of course I will provide materials I feel would be relevant and challenging.

There are many approaches we can take depending on you, it may be that you require more aid in understanding content, which means more explanation, fact recall and quick question based lessons, or contrarily, require more practice, where we would go through longer questions with many sub sections to solidify understanding. This of course, is flexible and completely tailored to your needs.

I am patient and creative (a bit of an artiste 💁🏽‍♀️) so I can help with any problems you might be having and try different methods to communicate ideas, especially with difficult topics, which are abundant in GCSE’s and A-levels, with heavy encouragement.

During my A-levels I had a surgery and had to miss a lot of school (literally wrote my history coursework on Codeine) which was probably the most intense period of my entire life, and tutoring was the only thing that helped through it. That’s why making that difference for someone else is incredibly important to me. This is a horrifyingly stressful time so I try to make my lessons fun and engaging at the pace you feel is comfortable.
