I’m a Love all things biology and chemistry, and their real-life applications, I love understanding how things work on a molecular level, influencing the whole system, such as how the laws of thermodynamics

explain protein folding.

My passion is for neuroscience, how the biochemistry and physical properties of neurons give rise memories and mental health disorders. This requires the combination of knowledge from all disciplines within science, a skill that is essential for success and I will help you develop. I believe that understanding and applying the basics gives a good foundation for learning new concepts.

I have found success as a Near-Peer tutor scheme (older students teaching difficult topics to younger students) which has given me the opportunity to tutor on a wide range of subjects. I received the Peer tutor of

the year award in 2017, as voted on by the students. I am the vice president of NeuroSoc and the musical director for Medics Revue. I’ve received tutor training by accredited university staff and have delivered training. I'm also a senior committee member for the national undergraduate neuroanatomy completion where I am the lead dissection technician and exam setter.

I’m passionate about teaching, and making hard subjects more accessible, I’m a dedicated individual and will do my best to deliver the best I can for you.

About my sessions

To begin with I’d like to take some time to get to know the student, to establish what would work best for them. We can identify goals and learning outcomes together as well as how we’ll know if we reached them. If the student desires, we can work together on answer to past papers, run live mock exams or do an exam question trouble shooting where we go through answers given. These two aspects will help the student know where they are in terms of grade but also promote the independent learning...

These two aspects will help the student know where they are in terms of grade but also promote the independent learning skill of identifying your weak areas and how to improve them.

I’m happy to do a full teaching session, using power points and creating exercises, which we will mark in the session. If this were the case we would need to decide on a topic before the session so I am able to prepare

various resources. I’m also happy to act in a more tutor/facilitator role, in which we used examples to apply concepts and reinforce them, with the session being more like a back and forth rather than a lecture. We can decide together if there should be pre-work done before this kind of session.

I am also happy to work through and trouble shoot homework or other assignments, including practical assessments and statistics, as well as sharer resources.

However best the student learns I am happy to adapt as best as

I can to enable a good, effective and efficient learning experience.
