About me

I am a first year Maths student at the University of Bath, and have always had a passion for the subject. I have loved Maths and Science all my academic life, taking A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

I aim to be an enthusiastic tutor, with a strong commitment to helping your child academically in a way that is right for them. I find the most effective way of learning is to communicate the key comcepts before working through problems. Questions are best tackled by breaking them down into logical steps until these processes become second nature.

I feel that the best way to work with a child is to ask them what they struggle with, and then start here. By finding out what they know and are happy with, we can work out the best starting point for tutoring. I also think that, particularly in Maths and Science, practice questions are the key to success. Using past exam papers is especially beneficial as knowing how they will be tested better prepares any child for exams.

I am friendly and willing to take as much time as is necessary to help your child understand anything - no question is a stupid question!

I hope to meet with you soon!
