Hello! My name is Nooria, and I'm a fourth year medical student at University of Nottingham. I have always had a passion for learning and science, but what I really value is getting other students to love learning for the sake of learning. Having been through the process of doing GCSEs and A-Levels, I know it can be a lot to take in all at once, and knowing how to organise your time, where to start and still enjoy it all can be really difficult! I have also been through the process of applying to medical school and know how daunting this can be. That's why I really hope to guide any student who comes my way through it, so we can challenge some of the worries involved but also pro-actively get an action plan together to work towards exams or applications. Most importantly, I really hope to inspire an ethic towards why you are learning what you are learning and always maintaining an interest, even in the sight of exams!
Your time in education can be really difficult, with a lot of balance, and not knowing how much you should be doing. That's why I think it is really important to develop some interests and hobbies that are just for you and keep you grounded. Some of my hobbies include reading (a lot!), and learning to play my ukelele (I'm still terrible!). I have been kickboxing since the age of 14 and still love it. I love to exercise, play sports, travel and spend time outdoors.
That's a little about me. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message.
