About me

I am a Philosophy and Literature student at the University of Warwick. As a naturally creative person, I have always been involved in the arts; from reading and writing poetry, to arts and crafts. I have had two poems published in Young Writers anthologies, and I currently volunteer for Crafts in Hospitals, which involves creating cards and gifts for hospital patients!

I've studied Art and English Literature for as long as I can remember, and I spent the last summer regularly helping children to express themselves and develop their confidence through painting and drawing activities.

I also offer help with personal statements, using crucial tips I have picked up while on the prestigious Social Mobility Foundation programme, to make all personal statements as excellent as possible and largely increase the chance of receiving university offers.

Questions Leyla has answered

What should the general structure of my personal statement look like?

Your personal statement should spend two thirds discussing why you want to study the degree you are applying for. This includes explaining what you love about the subject and any experience you have in the area, as well as outlining any extra-curricular activities you take part in.
