About me

Hey! I'm Constance and I'm studying Classics and English at Oxford University, and I can teach Latin, Greek, and English at any level, as well as oxbridge preparation. I got 13A*s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A Level so I can help you to think about what examiners are really asking, and have lots of techniques for how to memorise information and write cogent, coherent arguments in your essays. I can help tutees think about literature commentaries, about how to find style points and how to incorporate these into your answers. On the English side, I would love to improve students' close reading of passages, thinking about the writer's choice of literary devices and what their effects are. Making mind maps of themes and key quotes is also something which I have found very helpful in my experience. Repetition of material, as well as personalising the information is a good way to improve learning, and I will measure student's progress by marking work and keeping track of our end goal.
