About me

I am a first year undergraduate student at Oxford reading classics, a subject in which I have a real interest. I have first rate grades at both GCSE and A-Level in Latin, Classical Greek (both OCR) and English (AQA), another subject for which I have a considerable enthusiasm. I have experience of tutoring teenagers in all the above subjects in the build-up to important exams and have found the experience very stimulating. I enjoy the challenge of engaging and teaching people in whatever walk of life and find that I am capable of engaging people's interest and attention. In the sessions I will cover whatever material that I am asked, ensuring that it is fully understood to the level specified by the course, through a variety of techniques which, I hope, should make the sessions very productive. These vary from explanations to oral testing to going through written work. The Oxford teaching systems is driven by independent learning and as a consequence I have very few compulsory hours in my timetable, which would allow me to be extremely flexible with regards to teaching times. I hope to see you soon!
