About me

Hello! I'm Eleanor and I'm a second year studying Biological Natural Sciences, hoping to one day specialise in neuroscience or biochemistry. I'm fascinated by the complexity of organs and organisms, particularly the human brain, which I think is made all the more incredible in the light of the biochemical processes that drive them. I'm fascinated by the complexity of organs and organisms, particularly the human brain, which I think is made all the more incredible in the light of the biochemical processes that drive them. I know from personal experience how stressful GCSEs and A-levels can be, especially in the light of educational reform, but I also know that with the right guidance and support it's definitely possible to achieve your goals, be they grades or a university place, and I'd love to be someone to provide that support. In my spare time I'm involved in university choirs and love to listen to or make music wherever possible.

At the same time, from my own experience of school and university teaching, I know structure is key, and would endeavour to have structured plans for each tutoring session to maximise what you can achieve in one lesson. One on one teaching really allows you to explore and develop ideas suited to the need of the student and I'm excited to have the opportunity to teach in that capacity. I think past paper questions are an excellent way of measuring progress, and allow students to be comfortable with and prepared for the nature and style of exams they'll be sitting.
