About me

Do you want to learn a new language?

Hi, my name is Kathy and I'll soon be graduating with a degree in Modern Languages (French with Italian and Spanish).

Last year I was working abroad in Bologna (Italy) and Paris where I perfected my spoken language skills and would love to have the opportunity to help others to either learn from scratch (like I did with Italian when I came to uni)  or improve their skills in a foreign language.

I'm also willing to help out with Personal statements for students applying to study languages at university.

My tutor experience

I have previously worked as an Au pair in Italy and Spain where I taught English to children aged between 5 and 13. At school I also tutored two young children (aged 5 and 7) in French so I can be very patient!

I'm not bad at English either

Next year I'm going to study a post-grad diploma in journalism and I've also got an English literature A level. I love writing and reading in my native language and would be happy to help anyone who is struggling with GCSE/A level English Literature.

Questions Kathy has answered

Qu-est ce que tu as fait le weekend dernier?

What did you do last weekend?

This question helps the student to think about vocab relating to pastimes and hobbies as well as the passé composé tense. It also opens up the possibility of using the simple future tense if the student wishes to develop their answer to state what they plan to do next weekend.
