About me

About me

I am a third year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I am thoroughly looking forward to passing on my passion and enthusiasm for science and information about medical school!

I have tutored Biology and Chemistry AS-Level at College and also Badminton since the age of 15 so feel comfortable teaching all ages and abilities.

My Sessions

I hope to make my sessions fun and enjoyable as well as constructive and useful to you! I want to know what you hope to gain from the session and I will do my very best to make sure that happens! We will formulate lesson plans together and communicate as a team. We can also work out what helps you learn best, whether it's pictures, audio or using a textbook.

What do I teach?

I am keen to teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths for GCSE and A-Level students and at any ability.

I am also available for advice to those hoping to apply to medical school from universtiy choice to personal statements.

Finally, if you are intersted, you can message me if you have further questions or book a session and we can sort out the best date and lesson plan for you!

Hopefully see you soon!

Blood is made of many components, one of them being red blood cells. These are responsible for carrying oxygen around the body. Haemoglobin is the protein molecule within red blood cells that binds to oxygen.

In our lungs, we breathe in the oxgyen into small tree-like structures called alveoli right at the end of the lung tissue. The oxygen diffuses across these thin walls and across the thin walls of the blood vessels. Once in the blood, they bind to the haemoglobin forming oxyhaemoglobin which can then be taken to the organs of the body.
