Degree: Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Masters) - Sheffield University
A Bit About Me
I have just finished my second year at The University of Sheffield, studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
I have always wanted to teach maths, this was because I had a great teacher (my dad). I believe that everyone learns differently, I realised that most people do not ‘hate’ maths, they just did not have good experiences or lectures.
I decided that I want to be able to teach my love of maths to anyone I can. As a result when I was 15 I started tutoring maths to secondary level students in my school, allowing me to teach others concepts I had learned in the past.
In the ‘Meet the Tutor Session’, I would ask what exam board and syllabus you are using for your studies, to ensure that I tailor the topic to your needs. I will also take into account what type of problems you find most difficult and depending on the topic I might make notes and a set of problem sheets to use for when you book a session.
During the session I will teach you the topic and solve a couple questions and then see if you can solve them yourself. Once you get the hang of this we would move on to solving the particular question in previous Exam Past Question Papers that I would upload. Although most of these papers would be IGCSE papers, as I studied internationally and as a result my exams were IGCSEs.
How To Get to Me
I aim to make the sessions as enjoyable as I can and if I’m lucky at the end of my time tutoring you, you will love maths just as much as I do.
To be sure I am the right person for you, it would be advisable to book a free 15 minute ‘Meet the Tutor Session’ and once you are sure a Tutorial Session .
Hope to hear from you soon.
