About me

Hi, my name's Bertie and I'm a second year medical student at the University of Southampton. Learning shouldn't be stressful, so in any tutorial I'm happy to spend as much time as you need going over something until it clicks.

Studying a hard course means I've developed lots of techniques to help me to memorise lots of new content as quickly as possible, and stay interested even when the stuff I'm learning isn't interesting in the slightest.

As well as offering GSCE maths, biology and chemistry tutoring, I'm able to offer mentoring for medical school applicants. Both my UKCAT and BMAT were very high so I feel comfortable helping students prepare for either or both exams. I also can give advice on the general application process, personal statements and interview technique.

If you think I could help you out in any of these areas, send me a message and we can work out when's best for a tutorial. Thanks for reading!

Why can metal conduct electricity and heat?

Conduction is possible as delocalised (free) electrons are able to carry a charge and move through the metal.
