About me

I’m a first-year student reading Law with French Law at Oxford. I’m passionate about learning and teaching; over my last three years of school, I ran classes on debating, uni prep for aspiring law students, literature, creative writing and even drama for students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12. In Years 10-11, I self-taught an A level in Maths and then went on to self-teach half of my A levels in Sixth Form, achieving 4 A*s as well as an A* in my EPQ and an A in AS Politics. I still have the...

I still have the resources that I used then - resources which my friends preferred to textbooks or lesson notes when preparing for their exams, and which I would be more than happy to share with my tutees.

My Oxford application was the most challenging academic experience I’ve ever had. Speaking as someone who went to a state school but was lucky enough to receive a mock interview with Oxbridge alumni, the help you get from someone who has gone through an Oxbridge interview is infinitely more valuable to you than general advice given by schools. By making the process familiar to you and thoroughly preparing you for the tricky questions, I hope I can make the whole thing a lot less stressful, and a lot more achievable.

I'm driven and supportive, and I believe, with the experience I have of teaching myself and others, I'm uniquely placed to help you get where you want to be - in LNATs; uni applications; French, History or English Literature A levels; or French GCSE.

About my sessions

Teaching is a two-way street, which means that my sessions will be about you and your needs as much as they are about the information we’re covering. How I structure tutorials will therefore depend on what you want from them. I’m happy to answer questions and work on specific areas you’re looking to improve on. Equally, if you know you need to improve in a subject but you’re not sure how, I can work on that subject with you generally, designing a scheme of lessons to cover the material and de...

Because of the time constraints of my degree, I’m afraid I can only offer to tutor you on the topics/texts that I’ve already covered at school, as seen below:

AQA English Literature A level: Othello, ‘Isabella’, ‘La Belle Dame sans Merci’, ‘Lamia’, ‘The Eve of St Agnes’, Death of a Salesman, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Kite Runner, Songs of Innocence and of Experience

AQA History A level: The Tudors: England, 1485-1603; Democracy and Nazism: Germany, 1918–1945

AQA French A level and GCSE: Un sac de billes, Un long dimanche de fiançailles, plus general help with reading, writing, speaking, grammar, translation, or whatever else you need!
