About me

I am studying Spanish with Intermediate French at the University of Exeter. I have done 2 years there and spent my third year doing an internship in Barcelona. I spent 3 months of my gap year living in Spain, helping children learn English which enhanced my teaching abilities. Three years ago, I volunteered at a local primary school in Exeter, as part of the Hispanic Society, to teach Spanish to the children at a lunch-time club. I also take part in the 'PAL' scheme at University where I am partnered with a first year student who requires support in learning Spanish. I will certainly encourage my students to speak to me only in Spanish during our sessions as I think speaking is a key part of language learning, particularly for students who lack confidence in the language. I will tailor my sessions to the student's particular needs - whether it's grammar, vocabulary or exam preparation. I'll use a variety of methods to teach, ensuring that each session is productive and fun! Having done GCSE's and A Level's, I recognise the importance of being able to practice the language through speaking and listening as well as reading and writing. The hours that I am available are generally flexible, but evenings and weekends are the best for me.I am studying Spanish with Intermediate French at the University of Exeter. My daughter had missed a term of Spanish in grade 9 , but Hannah helped her gain confidence and then level that she was supposed to achieve in order to take Spanish as a GCSE. She's fun to work with and caters to the child's needs:)

I really enjoyed my first session with Hannah, and felt she went over grammar really thoroughly so that I actually feel I have learnt alot. The internet was a problem for a bit but I think that that has been sorted now :) 4 stars because of the internet
